Mark De Jong Builders Inc. is a premiere Design-Build construction contractor and re-modeler in Manatee and Sarasota County, specializing in high quality residential and light commercial renovations and additions, as well as new construction. Our integrated design and construction services result in seamless, architecturally refined and well-crafted projects.
Mark DeJong Builders Inc. uses the design build process, in which clients chose their comfort level of participation. A team is created between the design team, contractor and client, who work together to establish the goals, define and prioritize parameters, which combined, drive the building process. As each member of the team participates, expectations become clear, and a mutual trust and understanding develops. This leads to successful completion of the project.
Step 1: First Meeting and Concept. This complimentary meeting consists of fact finding and discovery which is typically held on site. Questions often asked include: What can I build? What are my design options? What is the cost? Do I need a permit? How long will it take? We will do our best to answer these and many other questions that will come up.
Step 2: Consultation and Design Agreement. The client has the option to sign a Consultation Agreement or a Design Agreement with Mark DeJong Builders Inc. or we will be happy to work with your own architect or designer.
Step 3: Changes, Time Line, and Budgets. As the plan progresses, schedules, changes, and budgets can be updated. This feedback keeps the client in the loop and the project on track as it moves toward the Final Plan.
Step 4: Final Plan Review and Construction Contract. The final plan and product selections are reviewed as we gather the necessary information for the Construction Contact. The Contract is signed. The project schedule is finalized and a start date is set. In the Design-Build process a tremendous amount of project refinement takes place in the above steps, to produce a project that flows smoothly and minimizes unexpected changes.
